My approach is collaborative, grounded, and realistic. Mental health isn't something separate from life — it is life. It's family, work, money, stress, relationships, health, loss, expectations, and everything you're carrying day to day.

I come to this work as a Chicana-identified provider, raised in a Mexican-American family and community. I understand what it's like to grow up with strong values — being resilient, respectful, loyal, and putting family first. These values are strengths. They helped families survive, adapt, and stay connected.

At the same time, I know that people from many backgrounds are raised with similar expectations — to be strong, to push through, to take care of others, and not take up too much space. What worked in one setting or stage of life doesn't always translate easily into another, and that tension can feel confusing or exhausting.

Looking at your mental health here isn't about blaming culture, family, or upbringing — and it's not about changing who you are. It's about learning how to carry your values in ways that support your life today, in the world you're living in now.

You don't have to perform. You don't need perfect words. I talk with you like a real person about real life. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help slow things down, make sense of what's going on, and figure out what kind of support might actually help.

Part of that support may include medication when it's appropriate. Medication doesn't change who you are — it's a tool that can support mood, focus, sleep, or stability while you work on your life.
